Trip Highlights

- Modern canopy giving better performance - Loads of fun under canopy, highly manoeuvrable - Soft landings - You control the jump Experience parachuting after a day's training and jumping a modern square canopy. You can progress from your first jump and could become a qualified skydiver in 20-30 jumps. We use state-of-the-art modern square RAPS (Ram Air Progression System) parachutes. Apart from the parachute deployment method, the equipment is identical to the Accelerated Freefall course. Extensive training course lasts a minimum of 6 hours and are taught only by BPA Approved Instructors. Training covers all skills for the aircraft, ride to altitude, exit, freefall and canopy ride. It also includes a written test. Your first jump is a solo descent from approximately 4,000 feet. Parachute automatically opens, via a static line, when you leave the aircraft. Experience the sensation of falling on your first jump. Both the main parachute and reserve are attached neatly to your back. The parachute is far more manoeuvrable and offers more fun than the more conventional round parachutes. The RAPS canopy introduces the flare, which gives softer landings if performed correctly. Enjoy a 4 to 5 minute canopy ride over the Lincolnshire plains. You will carry a radio so that an instructor can give you guidance once you are under canopy to bring you safely back to the landing area. This course is ideal for groups or individuals or like to take part in a group activity. So why would you choose the Static Line course over the AFF course? For a start, this course takes a minimum of 20 jumps to pass with approximately the same overall cost by the end. AFF gives you 8 jumps (plus 10 consolidation jumps). Financially the course is spread out over a longer period. This means you can pay week by week for each jump you do. Lastly, some students may not want their course to be so intensive. They want the opportunity to learn at their own pace. That's why we offer both courses. Continuation jumps are £36 each.
