Jump solo and fly your own parachute!

Take a Static Line parachuting course at our centre in Lincolnshire. This is a beginners parachuting course that teaches you all you need to know to make your first jump from a height of around 4000ft. We use state-of-the-art modern square RAPS (Ram Air Progression System) parachutes. Apart from the parachute deployment method, the equipment is identical to the Accelerated Freefall course.

After completing your first jump, you can then progress and could become a qualified skydiver in 20-30 jumps.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE COURSE:

- Modern canopy giving better performance.
- Great group event suitable for birthdays, stag and hen weekends.
- Loads of fun under canopy, highly manoeuvrable.
- Soft landings under a square parachute.
- You control the jump.

Extensive training course lasts a minimum of 6 hours and are taught only by BPA Approved Instructors. The training covers all skills for the aircraft, ride to altitude, exit, freefall and canopy ride. It also includes a written test. Your first jump is a solo descent from approximately 4,000 feet and the parachute automatically opens as you leave the aircraft (via a static line).

The parachutes we use are far more manoeuvrable and offer more fun than the more conventional round parachutes. The RAPS canopy introduces the flare, which gives softer landings if performed correctly. After the parachute has opened, you will enjoy a 4 to 5 minute canopy ride over the Lincolnshire wolds. You will carry a radio so that an instructor can give you guidance once you are under canopy to bring you safely back to the landing area.

This course is ideal for groups or individuals or like to take part in a group activity.

STATIC LINE OR AFF:
So why would you choose the Static Line course over the AFF course? For a start, this course takes a minimum of 20 jumps to pass with approximately the same overall cost by the end. AFF gives you 8 jumps (plus 10 consolidation jumps). Financially the course is spread out over a longer period. This means you can pay week by week for each jump you do. Lastly, some students may not want their course to be so intensive. They want the opportunity to learn at their own pace. That's why we offer both courses.

Continuation jumps are £36 each.
