The biggest skydiving centre of Europe is located on the Costa Brava in the north-east of Spain. Skydiving 365 days of the year!

We offer you the opportunity to come and have a taste of skydiving with Richard Pym in the Jump Europe skydiving school. Richard is a 16-way world champion and has more than 20 years and 13,000 jumps of experience.

But Empuriabrava is much more than just skydiving. The village is located in the Bay of Roses. In the summer you can visit the beach at two kilometres from the skydiving centre and in winter you can find the nearest ski resort at only an hour’s drive!

We will transfer you to and from Girona airport (one of Ryanair´s Barcelona destinations) and accommodate you in hotel Castell Blanc, at a five minutes walk from the skydiving centre.

The first part of the course is the theoretical part called “ground school”. In this part you will learn everything from canopy handling, to flight positions and emergency drills. After ground school you are ready to jump. This first jump you will be attached to your instructor, this is called a “tandem jump”, and you will practice what you have learned in ground school safely attached to an experienced skydiver.

After that you are ready for a solo skydive. You will jump from a height of 12,500 ft and you will spend 1 minute in freefall, assisted by two instructors who will make sure you do what you have learned. After deploying your parachute at 6,000 ft. you will fly your canopy yourself. During this part of your jump you will monitored over radio by your instructor who will help you to land safely

Itinerary

On day 1 we pick you are picked up from the airport and transferred to your hotel. You will have time to discover the drop zone, maybe the village and you can prepare yourself mentally for what is to come.

On day 2 you will do the theoretical part called “ground school”. In this part you will learn everything from canopy handling, to flight positions and emergency drills. In the afternoon, if time and weather permit you will do your first skydive, a tandem jump.

On day 3 you will do what you came here for, your first solo assisted free fall. You will jump from a height of 12,500 ft and you will spend 1 minute in freefall, assisted by two instructors who will look after your safety.

Accommodation Details

The hotel Castell Blanc is a 3 star hotel in an old renovated Farmhouse, located in Empuriabrava, the largest marina inhabited in the world on the Costa Brava in the Bay of Roses. The hotel is located at five minutes walk from the biggest skydive centre in Europe and 2 km from the beach.

The hotel is accessed from Figueras (15 km), which has a train station, Girona airport (65km) and Barcelona (135km). The hotel has 61 rooms distributed over 4 stages, all fitted with air-conditioning, bathroom, toilet, hairdryer, telephone, satellite television and radio, elevators and car park with video surveillance. Breakfast is served in the downstairs restaurant. There is a bar, an outdoor swimming pool and minigolf (8 holes).

Animals are allowed at an extra of 5€ per animal per day + VAT. A baby cod is available at an extra of 6€ per day + VAT.
