High Ride Adventure provides fun packed adventures in the stunning Te Anau back country.
Take your pick from a horse trek along the serene Whitestone river or a breath-taking
quad bike ride over Danby Hill.

When riding with High Ride Horse Treks, you get to see everything. With Red Deer on one
side, sheep on the other, cattle mixed in and more farm animals on the way, you experience farming New Zealand style close up. Winding through the trees gives a feeling of stillness and tranquility before walking down to the Whitestone River. Pristine and clear, this river is known far and wide, for its trout fishing. Walking the banks of the Whitestone, the scenery is a highlight along this stretch, with the backdrop of snowcapped mountains.

Even if you have never been on a motorbike before, we will give you all the quad bike training youneed. You will start off riding through flat and gently rolling paddocks to familiarise yourself with the quad bike. As you go, you will have the chance to experience sheep and deer farming close up. From there, the off road tour winds through Te Anau's back country hut. The climb to the summit of Danby Hill is a bit more challenging but as you reach the crest the view will take your breathe away.
