Canopy school
Over the past 10 years, far too many Skydivers have seriously hurt themselves or died under “perfectly good” canopies.
What started as being an air cupping landing aid, has developed into a high performance, semi rigid wing. The last generations of canopies supply our magazines with great landing footage but also fill pages with incident and fatality reports. The high performance canopy course is first of all designed to increase beginner, intermediate and experienced pilot’s own safety. The knowledge how a canopy is designed, how exactly it works and how different inputs change its flying and landing characteristics is the base of a safe landing approach. Besides the safety, flying and landing HP canopies have created a new discipline in Skydiving, Swooping. Flying a long distance along the ground in a destined path at higher speeds. Learning more about this is the second objective of the course.
